I made this long weekend into an extra long one and took friday off as well. Icey is on vacation himself, so we spent all day friday out shopping and having lunch and dinner out. by the time we finally got home we realized we’d been gone about 8 hours.

I was telling my friends about how I was telling Icey about a tattoo i’d like to get, when he lifts up his sleeve and goes “oh you mean like this one?” it didn’t even dawn on me that the reason i like it is probably because i’ve been looking at his for 5 years. i’m still thinking about it, just smaller, a different color and in a different location. but i think that might be bordering on obsession.

mojo got a new baby this weekend, i made the mistake of only buying one, and when you have 2 dogs that’s not such a good idea.  when voo came to check it out, she showed him her teeth.  i think she was just getting him back for earlier in the week when he let her have it after she got too close to his cookie.

hopefully this headache and sore throat i’ve had for a week is going to go away soon, there is only one and a half days left of this long weekend and i’d like to enjoy them.

also i punched my boyfriend so hard last night he bruised.  that’s how we roll.

Oh i LOVES this.   

anyone who knows me knows that i clean and clean and then clean some more and then makes lists about cleaning, make lists of what needs to be cleaned and even of what i have cleaned and then i pretty much clean all over again. for all that cleaning you would assume my house would either be a lot cleaner than it is or that i’d weigh about 80 lbs from all the running around.

there isn’t enough time in my day to do everything that needs to be done, i really need to quit my job and free up those ten hours. but since i can’t do that (yet) i’ve decided that i still really need to spend more time doing what makes me happy. and while a clean house actually does make me really really happy, i’ve finally come to realize that i spend a lot of time over doing it. i spend so much time being manic over things i THINK i need to do (cleaning is just one example), that i wasn’t taking the time to really enjoy anything. my standards are so high, that i can’t even meet MY OWN standards.

time to step back.

things are pretty good in our neck of the woods.  2006 was a very unlucky and trying year but this year things are falling into place and everything is working out just fine.  sometimes i have to stop and remind myself how lucky i am and remember to be grateful for everything that i have.    sometimes i think that in the grand scheme of things, it couldn’t get much better.

I have had the BEST weekend.  We went to the movies twice, we never go to the movies but this weekend we saw Spiderman 3 and 28 weeks later.  Icey cooked me a lovely steak dinner and cleaned the kitchen.  By the time Saturday night rolled around, we’d packed so much in that I was sure it was Sunday night.  Plus the fact that I was up at 6am both days helps to add time to the weekend.  what?  I LIKE getting up early.

Unfortunately my mom’s water heater broke today, and she couldn’t come over for lunch, as planned.  The plumber told her the water heater  was FRIED and that she’s lucky it didn’t burn down her house.  So really, now I’m just paranoid my moms house is going to burn down at any second.

so Icey and I went out for brunch on mothers day (because i’m a dog mom) and i’m catching up on all of my Tivo’d stuff.

I think we’re going to Disneyland/California Adventure for my birthday.  I’m pretty excited because I haven’t been to Disneyland since I was 13, which was the wrong age to go there and have fun.   And pretty much, I’m excited to go anywhere with Icey.

Mo’s birthday is May 5th.   last year it was Cinco de Mojo.
