Author: Icey got me a fancy pasta maker for Christmas and tonight we made our first batch of homemade pasta. and our second. the first one didn’t work out too well. Now that I know how to make it, i think it will take me less than 2 hours next time.

2008
2007 was a pretty good year for me.
2006 pretty much sucked so it really could not have gotten much worse.
This year a lot of fun and new things happened for me. I got my first brand new car, it’s from the future seeing as how it’s a 2008. I saw the White House and walked around Washington DC. I saw my first Vegas show. I learned that i can jog even tho i’m not good at it. I celebrated 5 years with my boyfriend, i’ve never liked anyone except Brad Pitt for that long, and he bought me diamonds. my boyfriend, not Brad. I got an autographed K-Fed picture, you know you are jealous. We went to Disneyland and Colonial Williamsburg, both my choice for vacation destinations and probably not what icey had in mind, but he went because he likes me. (and also had a good time) I asked for, no demanded, a raise and got one. I also got 4 coach purses and various accessories this year, but who’s counting?
I’m sure there’s more, but that’s the gist of it.
It’s going to be hard to top this year.

Vegas was great!
For what i’m pretty sure is the first time ever, i packed everything i needed for an overnight into a backpack so i could carry-on and not have to check bags. I’m pretty impressed with myself.
We went to our first Vegas show. Penn & Teller. It was pretty awesome and we had great seats. I’m just glad I wasn’t one of the people they picked to come up on stage. After the show they are available for pictures but the crowd was massive and I had to pee.
I ate at least $40 worth of sushi at the best buffet EVER. And then had CA rolls again this morning for breakfast at the same buffet.
And the room was beautiful. It was a new gold club room at the Nugget and it was awesome. As soon as the elevator doors opened we just kind of stopped and stared because the decor was completely different from the rest of the rooms. You really did get a lot of perks being in that room.

also, the hallway makes you want to have twin girls and dress them up like the Shining
the reason we stay at the golden nugget is because of a reality show called the Casino that was on a few years back. The two times we’ve gone, I’ve seen one of the hospitality guys that was on the show as a regular, and I get excited every time. This time I got to see him twice. They have done a lot of renovating, and the new pool area is awesome and right smack in the middle of the whole hotel. if you take the water slide, you go through a salt water aquarium.
I really hope Icey enjoyed his birthday extravaganza. He deserves it.

almost time
It’s almost Christmas and aside from sending out cards to family, no one else got one. So, if you sent one to us, THANK YOU, it’s on display on my fancy christmas card holder shaped like a tree. And please accept my apology for not sending one to you. Don’t blame the boy, he’s got nothing to do with it, I’m not sure he really knows what a card is.
The end of the year came really really fast for me and I’m still buying presents. I got all of Icey’s taken care of, except for one which requires assembly and is ‘involved’ so he’ll probably end up getting it the day i manage to buy it, unless i can figure out how to hide it from him, which let’s face it, is not going to be hard to do.
He’s also turning 30 in 4 short days, so don’t forget to remind him about his old man balls.

lately
I had the first fire of the year on Sunday. All of a sudden it got really cold, ok like 45 degrees. But still. We finally turned the heater on last week as well.
Wednesday morning when I left for work, I couldn’t see the house across the street, the fog was so thick. It was actually better on the freeway and I was very impressed with how everyone was driving. I only saw one minor accident.
Every night around 6:30 Voodoo comes and sits down in front of me and demands dinner. he stares at me, he inches closer to me, he woofs very quietly and has recently started resorting to bringing the extra cute. sometimes he puts his face on my keyboard so i have to stop typing.
If you look closely, you can see I was in the middle of talking to Kim when he decided it was time to eat.
This weekend we are going to Icey’s work Christmas party, it’s casino themed, and then next weekend we get the real deal when we go to Vegas. At least this weekend it’s not real money, and I even bought me a new outfit to make myself look purty for Icey’s work folk.
